Apple CEO Tim Cook addresses AI concerns

Apple CEO Tim Cook revealed that the company is interested in the possibilities of new AI technology.

However, he also raised concerns about competitors such as Google and Microsoft’s sloppy approach to generative AI applications.

In answer to a query about AI, Cook restated Apple’s policy of keeping future roadmaps hidden, but he recognised the potential is enormous.

He emphasised how Apple has previously employed AI for features such as accident detection and heart monitoring, and he stated that the business will continue to include AI.

However, the CEO emphasised that Apple will approach AI with caution, emphasising that there are still difficulties to be addressed.

Cook was most likely alluding to the debates surrounding generative AI technologies such as ChatGPT and Midjourney.

Microsoft, Google, and others are developing chatbots based on the OpenAI technology that underpins ChatGPT, but everyone who has used it knows it frequently makes up things.

Meanwhile, Apple has not announced any products or services that use generative AI.

Cook’s current remarks reinforce concerns that Apple wishes to avoid the problems that have arisen as a result of tools such as ChatGPT.

Cook’s comments came during an earnings call for the fiscal quarter ending April 1, in which the business outperformed expectations.
