THE Minister of Science Technology and Innovation, Dr Ogbonnaya Onu, says the Federal Government is seeking ways to finance science, technology and innovations beyond the budgetary allocation.

He said this when he inspected the venue of the 2022 STI expo, themed ‘Sustaining National Economic Growth through Science, Technology, and Innovation.’

This was contained in a statement titled, ‘FG working hard to find extra-budgetary means to fund STI’, which was issued by the ministry on Friday

It read in part, “The Federal Government has been working very hard in the recent months to find extra-budgetary means to fund the development in Science, Technology, and Innovation.”

The STI EXPO is scheduled to hold from March 14 – 18, 2022.
