Grammarly to integrate ChatGPT-like feature on platform

Cloud-based typing assistant, Grammarly is adopting a ChatGPT-like tool called GrammarlyGO to enhance the usage of the platform.

The US-based writing assistant platform is the latest company to adopt generative AI.

The AI chatbot ChatGPT, which was introduced by Microsoft-backed AI startup OpenAI in October 2022, helped this technology gain popularity.

The grammar checker has now declared support for generative AI software that may create material in users’ preferred writing styles.

“GrammarlyGO” is a generative AI product that is designed to “accelerate productivity where people write.” the company defines the product in a blog post.

The product is scheduled to go on sale in the near future. Both the free and commercial versions of GrammarlyGO will be accessible to all users, and a beta test of the same will begin in April.

GrammarlyGO can produce text based on a brief prompt, much like ChatGPT can.

But, Grammarly includes a unique component. The program will provide content-generated copies in the user’s typical writing style.

This is feasible because Grammarly checks every piece of writing for errors. The writing tool thus has a large amount of data at its disposal.

The AI-based writing tool has some applications, as Grammarly has noted. Writing email responses based on one-click prompts like “I’m not interested” is part of it.

The company also states that its generative AI tool can alter current text to assist the tone or clarity.

Also, the tool can change the existing material to make it meet a particular word count by increasing or decreasing it.

The technology can also assist content producers in using AI to generate ideas or form outlines.
