American rapper, Kanye West has disclosed that he is set to purchase Social network, Parler.

This was disclosed by the network’s parent company on Monday, according to the New York Times.

“In a world where conservative opinions are considered to be controversial, we have to make sure we have the right to freely express ourselves,” the rapper and fashion mogul, now known as Ye, said in Parler’s statement.

The price of the acquisition, which is anticipated to close in the fourth quarter of 2022, was not made public.

Instagram and Twitter earlier in October disabled West’s accounts due to comments deemed to be anti-Semitic.

According to the executive director of Parler’s, George Farmer, “the deal will “change the way the world thinks about free speech.”

Parler, which was launched in 2018, has become a shelter for followers of former US President Donald Trump and far-right users who claim to have been restricted by other social media sites such as Twitter.

The social media platform has also gained popularity among United States conservatives.
