Facebook owner Meta, is set to launch threads app, which are meant to compete with Twitter.
According to the organization, the new program should be available in the coming days.
“Threads is where communities come together to discuss everything from the topics you care about today to what’ll be trending tomorrow,” says the app’s description on apple store.
The debut of Thread comes amid a period of turbulence at Twitter since Tesla owner Elon Musk assumed control in October. The billionaire restructured the firm, let go of thousands of employees, and put many functions behind a paywall.
According to the app store description for Threads, users will be able to “connect directly with your favourite creators and others who love the same things — or build a loyal following of your own to share your ideas, opinions and creativity with the world.”
