Microsoft increases Bing Chat character limit to 4,000

Microsoft has made another important modification to Bing Chat in order to improve user interaction and engagement.

Mikhail Parakhin, Microsoft’s CEO of Advertising and Web Services, took to Twitter to announce that the business was increasing Bing Chat’s character limit from 2,000 to 4,000 characters.

Microsoft had significant issues in launching Bing Chat, which harmed the tool’s user experience.
Some users reported that the tool was hallucinating and provided erroneous answers to queries.
Microsoft responded by putting restrictions that hampered the tool’s experience, like restricting Bing Chat’s character limit to 2,000.

This move was met with mixed feelings. On the one hand, some users saw improvements and were generally pleased with the overall experience, but technical users with plans to create in-depth and long-form content were less pleased.

However, several users discovered crude methods to raise the character restriction of Bing Chat to 25,000 characters.

Microsoft has already begun providing customers with one of Bing Chat’s most requested features, chat-saving support.
