Tech billionaire, Elon Musk has disclosed his intention to make the microblogging platform, Twitter the ‘everything app’

Musk hinted at this with a tweet he shared last October before his purchase of Twitter from Jack Dorsey.

“Buying Twitter is an accelerant to creating X, the everything app,” the billionaire tweeted last year October.

In the 1990s, when he founded the company “X.com,” which later became PayPal, the Twitter CEO developed an affinity for the letter.

Musk then repurchased the domain name in 2017 and appears to be putting his new scheme together.

According to the Financial Times, this appears to include a payment service, as Twitter applied for regulatory licences following its takeover.

He previously stated that the Chinese app WeChat, which includes banking, ride-sharing services, and video chatting, could inspire him.

“It does everything — sort of like Twitter, plus PayPal, plus a whole bunch of things, and all rolled into one, with a great interface,” he said.

Musk’s latest tweet comes a week after “X” was named Twitter’s parent company, according to a corporate disclosure statement filed as part of a Florida lawsuit over suspended accounts.

According to the filing, “Twitter, Inc. has been merged into X Corp. and no longer exists.”

According to Bloomberg, Musk established three “X Holdings” companies last April to fund his purchase of Twitter.
