The MTN Closed User Group (CUG) has provide a subsidised plan that allows users to have unlimited conversations with registered persons without worrying about running out of airtime.

The benefits of the CUG plan includes: unlimited voice and text messaging between CUG registered numbers, and subsidised data cost.

Calls to any network from CUG lines are charged at 15 kobo per second while SMS costs N4.

While MTN provides the service directly, you will be unable to register with them if you do not have up to ten people registered in your CUG plan.

However, some businesses collaborate with MTN to make the service available for as few as two people. Zailand is one such company.

To migrate to MTN’s CUG, interested persons are advised to send a WhatsApp message on 08031230823 or email to @[email protected] with the CUG request.

The cost of migrating each line to the CUG plan via Zailand is ₦1,500 while the regular subscription fee is ₦650 each. Hence, in the beginning, users will be paying ₦2,150 in total for each number.

For subsequent months, CUG users will then pay ₦650 each.
