AIT, Silverbird, Raypower FM, Rythm FM, and others have been directed to halt operations by the National Broadcasting Commission over N2.6 billion debt.

According to Channels, the Director-General of the NBC, Mallam Balarabe Shehu, made the disclosure on Friday, stating the media houses failed to renew broadcast licence.

Balarabe has directed the state officials of NBC to work with security agencies, to shut down operations in the media houses within the next 24 hours.
