Chinese electronics maker, Samsung disclosed on Sunday that Executive Chairman Jay Y. Lee met with Tesla CEO Elon Musk last Wednesday.

The company stated the two tech executives met to discuss ways to cooperate in future high-tech industries, Samsung said on Sunday.

Samsung noted that the two businesses are now looking for methods to collaborate in the development of IT-related technologies such as semiconductors for driverless vehicles.

The encounter, which took place during Lee’s visit to the United States, was the first between the heads of the South Korean semiconductor giant and the US electric-vehicle producer, according to the firm.
